About the Flying T Ranch

Come join our adventures and misadventures at the Flying T Ranch, a small farm in the beautiful wooded hills of New Hampshire.  We’re learning all about God’s creation in our homestead, learning about sustainable agriculture and subsistence farming as we revel in the joys and endure the hardships of rural life (though not too far from urban creature comforts).

At the Flying T, we raise horses, goats, muscovy ducks, chickens, and kids in as a natural and free-range environment as we can muster.  In between tending the livestock, we’re doing the best to defend our vegetable gardens from woodchucks and keep up with our amazingly-prolific apple and peach trees.

Trying to follow our forester’s advice on prioritization (family-house-farm-forest), we’re also doing our best to cultivate a modest tree farm, growing and cutting home-use firewood and timber while managing habitat for the local deer, turkey, grouse, and other wildlife.

Our family mission is to glorify God in all ways.  We live this out at the Flying T Ranch as we raise, manage, and use His creation in a healthy, sustainable, humane, and respectful manner.  We also believe that we are called to love all of His people, regardless of whether their backgrounds, religions, races, ethnicities, beliefs, or practices are like ours or not.

For more about us and our farm, please check out our homepage at www.flyingtnh.com.

And don’t forget to check out our Word for Today page, which we try to update every day when we have Internet access.

  3. I love to hear of people living the way they feel divinely led to live. That’s what I’m trying to do, too. I’ll check in from time to time to see what you’re doing 🙂

  7. Good for you! I see why you enjoyed my blog about New Creation Farm in Ohio. God’s blessings. What type of horses do you raise?

    • Yes, we definitely enjoyed your blog – and it seems we overlap quite a bit in philosophies. We currently have Zip, a Quarterhorse, and Jasper, who the kids call a “Quarterflinger” because we think he’s a Haflinger-Quarterhorse cross.

      • Nice. I started out loving Arabs because they’re so beautiful, but once we started having foxtrotters, it’s hard to want anything else. They are SO comfortable and especially when riding in the mountains, they’re hard to beat.

  8. Hello Flying T Ranch! No time no blog! Just doing my blogging rounds and thought I’d check in. Hoping all is well with you. Happy autumn.

  9. Thanks for following our blog. Raising kids on the farm is the best, in my opinion. At least it worked well for us.

  10. Thanks for visiting and liking my blog. You seem like a modern-day “Little House on the Prairie” family, which is not an insult! Wonderful opportunities for your kids (human and goat). I shall be following your adventures.

    • Well that’s too funny! The kids have taken over the website and we have had several friends look through it for suggestions… And you’re the first to find out that we have erased the contact info!!! Shooting you an email, but we are in Chichester NH and our email is farm@flyingtnh.com!
