The Flying T Ranch BlogMisadventures in homesteading, sustainable living, and subsistence farming in New Hampshire. Horses, Boer Goats, Chickens, Muscovy Ducks, and Produce.
The snow doesn’t slow down the kids or the horses too much. This is in the middle of our snowstorm today – probably 6-8″ at the time of the walk, and now we’re approaching one foot. Now it’s time to go sledding!
Nice! The wind is blowing so much here we can barely open the door, much less play in the drifted snow! I had fun pursuing your blog– seems we have lots in common 🙂
I was just blogging about how I survived the Longest Winter with 117 inches of snow. Your pics look just like our rented farmstead looked that year. And, your kids looked just as happy as my kids back then. Love the joy in their faces!
Just went to read the story, and instead found your story about “5 seconds” and compassion for one another. What a great post – everyone go to Mindy’s blog and read it now!
Please feel free to comment or respond - we may take a bit to get back to you (between feeding animals, mucking stalls, mending fences, and chasing the goats out of the chicken coop again!) Cancel reply
Word for Today
"Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn?Do you count the months till they bear? Do you know the time they give birth? They crouch down and bring forth their young; their labor pains are ended. - Job 39:1-3

Looks like that’s true, but I’m jealous of your big tractor! More snow on the way up here…
